Introducing dominoGuru.com Hangouts!

I've been wanting to do this for a while now - ever since Google+ introduced their Hangouts solution - so in between project work and the 10 year anniversary of dominoGuru.com, I thought now would be the perfect time to start dominoGuru.com Hangouts.

The idea is fairly simple: I'll host a panel of experts where we'll discuss various topics. Since this is dominoGuru.com-branded expect those to focus on application development both IBM-related and beyond. I hope to cover things like modernization, mobilization, gamification, collaborative/team development, integration, and more.

Today I'll be hosting our first panel, which will include Dave Leedy, Russ Maher, and Paul Calhoun. The topic we'll cover should interest the well-versed, but particularly interest those developers who have yet to get into XPages application development for IBM Lotus Notes and Domino.

So... how can you get involved? Simple really, each Hangout will be live-streamed via my YouTube channel: youtube.com/ChrisToohey. I've scheduled this Hangout for today at 12:00PM (Noon) EST, and while I've booked the entire hour I doubt it'll take that long...

Subscribe to my YouTube channel & the live event Hangout stream will show up in your feed.

You can also follow me on Twitter, Facebook, or Google+ - as I'm certain I'll be getting word out about the event via those outlets:

If you can't make the event, Google Hangouts auto-save, so you'll be able to view (and re-watch, if you're so inclined) each dominoGuru.com Hangout at your leisure.

And there you have it. Hopefully this works out, and can become a resource for you to learn new things. Please keep in mind this is our first attempt, so be kind and expect glitches.

Oh, and if you have topic suggestions, schedule suggestions, gear/tech suggestions, leave a comment below. Like/+1/Share this post to help spread the word, and I'll see you all (or, more accurately, you'll all see me) later today!
