Pwning Traditional IBM Lotus Notes Client Application UI Design

While working on the soon-to-be-released Remote Console multi-client utility, I shared my in-progress IBM Lotus Notes Client Application UI Design work.

I am a firm believer that user perception is reality, and thus User Interface and User Experience Design plays a very important role in my application development efforts. Simply put, I think if the application looks like crap, the user will immediately presume that it doesn't work compared to something more gradient and polished. UI and UX Design is just as important as the functional development and application architecture of your apps.

It should also be said that traditional IBM Lotus Notes Client applications can visually and functionally compete with other platforms... just like there is such a thing as bad XPage-based UI/UX Design. Bad design is bad design regardless of platform or technology...
