Using Facebook? RSVP Attending and Share Yellow Day beyond the Yellow Bubble!

Yellow Day -
August 11th, 2009 - Facebook Event Link Nathan reminds us that next Tuesday, August 11th, 2009, is the 2nd Annual Yellow Day! What's Yellow Day? Well, Yellow Day is a day where every Lotus product geek is encouraged to evangelize their YellowBleeding - either through their dress, though contributions to and beyond the Lotus Online Community from the blogging and podcasting community, various social networks and social media (such as Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, etc.), through developerWorks contributions to the product forums and wikis, and even through contributions to community resources like OpenNTF. Some vendors last year stepped up to the plate and delivered some really impressive community and product offerings as well.

So why am I bringing it up here (especially when Nathan covered it so perfectly on his blog earlier today)?

Simple. I want those Lotus geeks beyond the yellow bubble to get the message. How? Well, those of you who use Facebook could certainly help! I've setup the Yellow Day - August 11th, 2009 - Facebook Event Link! Having this event in Facebook will allow us to easily Share the event with our geek brothers and sisters that don't participate in the Lotus Online Community, as well as act as a central location for Yellow Day photos, videos, and links that can be further shared beyond our community.

So, if you're a Facebook user, RSVP Attending to this event. Then Share it with your own contacts.

And, of course, don't forget to take your own photos, videos, and whatever links to fellow participating geeks across the globe and contribute to the Event page.

Oh, and of course stay tuned for a few Yellow Day announcements from me...
