A few thoughts...

I haven't spent much time on this site.

I'd love to be able to blame my "real world responsibilities", from work to family life, but the list of completed series I've racked up on Netflix, Hulu, HBO, and Amazon Prime speak to a different truth: I had the time, but I didn't spend it here.

Truth be told, there are multiple excuses that come to mind ranging from "-- but I'm still active on social media" to "fear that I've lost it". The latter applying to both my ability to effectively communicate my thoughts in this medium and whether or not there was an audience for what I had to say.

Today I joined the millions of displaced workers affected by a worldwide pandemic; I was furloughed by my employer for at least the next month. So what's an "enterprise application developer" to do?

This isn't some announcement post promising some Next Great Thing. I'm just sharing some thoughts on a Monday during a quarantine. There might be articles. There might be reviews (I'd love to check out HCL's Domino Volt, for example). There might be hangouts. There might be Zoom happy hours. I don't know.

I'd like to write about using LocalStorage to create offline apps.

I'd like talk about the latest useful JavaScript frameworks out there.

I'd like to dive into topics like task-oriented design, the differences between enterprise application development and consumer apps, and more.

I want to engage. Not only because it's something I need, but it's something I suspect a lot of other people need as well. I just happen to have an easy-to-remember domain name.
