developerWorks for iPhone v1.2 now available via iTunes

This latest update to the official IBM Lotus developerWorks iPhone app brings updated social networking management, and language support. Free in the iTunes App Store!

Update v1.2 ready on PersiPhone!

After the download, I thought I'd give it a spin.

I pulled up Nathan's developerWorks Profile via the People Search. Works quite well.

Nathan's incomplete developerWorks Profile.

Clicking the Plus button (+) allows me to initiate a Friend Request to add a given contact to my Network.

Even money on him accepting...

You can additionally now view and accept Requests via the v1.2 release:

Someone wants to connect!

To view your Requests, simply click on your Network from your Profile, and you'll see all pending Requests at the top-right of the screen.

Thanks Ulrich!

From here, you can accept (but not reject) the Request.

From what I can tell, v1.2 is a slick little update to the developerWorks iPhone app, and well worth the price: Free, requires a free registration on IBM Lotus developerWorks, and is available now on iTunes!

A few things I would like to see -- outside of more use of the My developerWorks network -- is the ability to manage your network, and a nice home screen that mirrors the iPhone Facebook app would be a nice touch. Not critical by any means, but certainly something that could make it to v1.3 if I figure out who to contact to make the suggestion.
